About Oliver

Oliver has been a professional musician for 25 years, and a meditator for the last 12 years. He composes original music and has performed all over the world. www.oliverwcox.com

Oliver began meditating in 2011 and quickly realised this was going to become a major part of his life, from 2015 devoting several months a year to retreats, practices and study. He became an instructor for the Clairvision school several years ago and has assisted with courses and retreats in the UK, Ireland, USA and Australia. He sees IST clients both in-person and online and is passionate about facilitating deep transformational work for his clients.

More recently he has been exploring different areas of composing and performing, looking for places where explorations of consciousness and the creative process overlap. He is deeply curious about the role of sound and music in creating spaces of consciousness, both within and without a meditation context.

See below for more on Oliver’s personal experiences of his meditation path.

“In 2011, I attended my first meditation course with the Clairvision School, founded by Samuel Sagan...

This initial curiosity around what lay beyond the material world soon escalated into a deep fascination with subtle bodies and states of consciousness. As my meditation practice took off, it sparked big changes in many aspects of my life. My creativity accelerated in new directions and I quickly realised this path of meditation, awakening and self-knowledge had become integral to how I wanted to live. From 2015 I began making time for longer periods of meditation practices - several months a year. In 2018 I took a whole year off work to make space for an extended phase of full time practices at the two Clairvision properties in NSW and N California. I continue to be humbled and inspired at how much my life has changed since I began meditating. My entire relationship to music and creativity is different, I have a much deeper inner stillness, but one of the most striking aspects is how much more exciting life is!”
